By BBN Staff: This evening, BBN reported that Renee Wentz, a self-defense instructor went missing in Corozal Town. https://breakingbelizenews.com/2017/07/02/renee-wentz-self-defense-instructor-missing/

Wentz was last seen yesterday in Corozal and her family and friends were concerned since she did not show up for an appointment in Chetumal this morning at 10.

The United States Embassy’s Duty Officer/ Public Affairs officer has responded to BBN and informed us that Wentz was found safe in Corozal Town.

The embassy says that they have been in direct contact with Wentz family in the United States and spoke to Wentz personally a short while ago.

They confirmed to us that she is now safe and in good health.

The US Embassy and BBN thanks everyone for sharing the story.
