Saturday night shooting claims the life of 33-year-old Rueben Cano.

By BBN Staff: Last night, Breaking Belize News broke the story of a man that was shot in Belize City; today, the victim of that fatal shooting has been identified as 33-year-old Rueben Cano.

Cano was reportedly on Antelope Street talking to someone just before 10:00 p.m. when two men emerged from the vicinity of the Lord Ridge Cemetery and one of them opened fire on him, hitting him several times to the body.

He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital but was later pronounced dead. The men who shot him ran back in the direction they came from and escaped.

Police are investigating.
