Corozal resident Hezron Ellis chosen to compete in NBC World of Dance Competition

By Benjamin Flowers: A Corozal man is making Belizean history in the field of dance by becoming the first Belizean to compete in the NBC World of Dance Competition.

Twenty-four-year-old Hezron Ellis says that when he submitted his dance video entry to the competition, he never actually expected to be selected.

His submission was among the most outstanding globally, and he was chosen to compete in the selection rounds where he must submit choreographed dances, with hopes of making it to the finals which will be held live in Los Angeles, California next year.

Ellis, who has been dancing for eight years, says that he has given his all to hone his craft, dancing on sprains and other injuries to ensure that he never misses practice; and is now in need of Belize’s support so he can represent the country. He is currently on a mission seeking sponsors to partner with as he awaits word from the competition committee as to which song he will record his next submission to.
