Posted: Thursday, July 30, 2020. 8:14 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health informs that no new COVID-19 case was detected in Belize in the last few days. A total of 78 samples were processed today at the Central Medical Laboratory and all were negative for SARS-CoV2.

According to the Ministry, 3 cases continue to be active and there are no other recovered cases to report.

The Ministry, however, cautions that the “neighboring municipality of Othon P. Blanco (Chetumal included) up until midday today had reported a total of 1,213 active cases with a bed occupancy rate of 72%”.

The public is advised, “to continue to exercise all prevention measures under new norms” as this behavior change will take us a long way.
