More details surface on fatal traffic accident in Succotz

By BBN Staff: BBN has received more details on the fatal traffic accident in Succotz Village, Cayo that claimed the lives of two young ladies this morning.

According to reports, the accident happened around 4 am today. A man was traveling from Benque to Succotz village with two young ladies when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the Mopan River.

The driver was able to get out of the car, however, the two ladies were stuck inside the vehicle, and as a result, they drowned.

A family member of the victim informed our newsroom that the driver was reportedly intoxicated.

Police are investigating.
