Businessman beaten and robbed this morning

BBN Staff: Belmopan police are investigating a robbery that left a businessman severely injured this morning.

According to police reports, owner of M and S night club, Yunguang Ruan, 50, of Saint Matthew village was closing his business shortly before 1:00 a.m., when he was attacked by a man with a stick.

Ruan was injured to his head and both hands.

The culprit then escaped in Ruan’s grey van.

Police later recovered the van in Harmonyville village.

Ruan is admitted in an unconscious state.

Police are investigating.
