Suspected Easter weekend murder in Corozal

The body was later identified to be that of 42 year old Eleazar Chan of Louisville village, Corozal District.

Chan was reported missing yesterday by his wife, Ana Chan.

An on-site post mortem examination revealed the cause of death to be trauma to the face and bronchial asphyxiation. The post mortem also concluded that the trauma was caused by a blunt object.

All indications are that this is another case of murder.

Police investigation continues.
