Belize makes ABC news as a ‘best place to vacation’

BBN Staff: Millions of television viewers in Arizona, USA, and even more online, were told that Belize is one of the best places to vacation during a travel segment aired on the station ABC 15 this week.

During the segment “Smart Shopper” anchor, Chelsey Davis listed three destinations where travelers could find quality accommodations for reasonable prices. She listed the Cahal Pech resort in Cayo, along side the MGM Grand in Last Vegas, and the Blue Lagoon Resort in Fiji, both of which are established and sought-after tourist destinations.

The highlight adds to a long list of positive mentions that Belize has received in 2018 alone from prestigious publications such as Trip Advisor, Fordo’s, National Geographic, Lonely Planet and CBC Canada. The increased amount of international exposure for 2018, follows a stellar year of positive mentions in 2017, which was also one of the best year for tourism Belize on record.

The total number of visitors that went to the various destinations in Belize grew from 629,314 in 2016 to 727,157 in 2017. Cruise passenger and overnight tourist both showed growth which also contributed to positive reviews for the country as a ‘must visit’ tourist destination in 2018.
