By BBN Staff: A man shot and killed in the Boca Del Rio area of San Pedro town this morning has been identified as 18-year-old Christian Contreras.
According to reports, Contreras was shot just before midday today in front of Los Compadres Bar. Contreras was reportedly shot twice to the chest and once in his right hand.
Another man, 27-year-old Ryan Lucas was also shot to his abdomen. Lucas has been transported to Belize City for medical treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).
A minor has reportedly been detained in connection with the incident. Police have yet to issue official details of the latest murder in Belize’s top tourist destination.
