Post-mortem reveals Letson Broaster found in Macal River died by drowning

By BBN Staff: According to police reports, at 11 am today, authorities visited an area on the Macal River Bank in the branch mouth area where the body of a male person was seen faced up floating down the river.

The body was retrieved and was in an advance state of decomposition.

It was identified as Letson Broaster, 31, of #14 Mable Pitts Street, Santa Elena Town, Cayo District.

His mother Mirta Broaster, 72, of the same address shortly after reported to police that her son left home on Wednesday, June 28 at 7:00 pm to visit a friend and did not return home.

The post mortem examination conducted onsite confirmed the cause of death to be drowning.
