Road traffic accident in Cayo leaves horse dead, motorcyclist hospitalized

By BBN Staff: At around 6 a.m. yesterday, there was a fatal road traffic accident near Bishop Martin RC school in the Cayo District.

Information to our newsroom is that a child was riding a horse when a motorcyclist collided into them.

The child flew off the horse and fell to the ground receiving minor injuries.

The horse on the other hand, died upon impact while the motorcyclist remains hospitalized.

According to our sources, the motorcyclist was travelling with excessive speed and could not avoid the collision.

Police have not yet issued an official statement on this accident.
