Woman chopped multiple times in Belize City

By BBN Staff: A woman was chopped multiple times in Belize City yesterday.

According to reports, police responded to information of a chopping incident and visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where they encountered Julian Burke, 29, suffering from multiple chop wounds.

Initial investigation reveals that a neighbor heard screaming coming from Burke’s house where she was seen with cut wounds to her head and both arms.

Burke was transported to the KHMH where her condition is described as severe.

Police are seeking Elijah Burke, brother of the victim who they believe could assist in the investigation.
