Opposition expresses condolences to family of BDF Corporal Roxanne Hill who died in a traffic accident on Thursday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “RIP CORPORAL ROXANNE HILL!” reads a social media post by Leader of the Opposition Shyne Barrow expressing sympathy to the family of BDF Corporal Roxanne Hill on behalf of the United Democratic Party.

Corporal Hill died in a traffic accident on the George Price Highway on Thursday evening.

“The Opposition offers deepest sympathies to the family of BDF Corporal Roxanne Hill,” said the post.

“Prayers are with our BDF security forces as they grapple with this tragic accident that occurred as they returned from burying another fallen soldier Micah Miguel.”

Corporal Hill died on the spot in the accident which occurred by Cotton Tree. She was travelling in a BDF truck with other soldiers returning from Miguel’s funeral in southern Belize. The BDF truck collided with a Toyota 4Runner.

Hill, who died on her birthday, is survived by two daughters.
