Police make large drug bust in Ladyville, over 20 parcels of marijuana seized

By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Police Department made a major drug bust in Ladyville yesterday, where cops seized 27 parcels of packaged marijuana.

A special operation team was on Scissors Tail Street when they noticed two men carrying a large black object from an Orange Freightliner truck to an SUV.

The officers made checks on the vehicle and discovered the drugs, which, when weighed, amounted to 28.6 kilograms.

The two men, who police say are from Belize City, and the driver of the Freightliner truck, who is from Patchakan Village, were detained pending charges.
