Driver charged in gas truck accident 

By Aaron Humes: Cyril Valencio, 31, a truck driver of Orange Walk Town, who allegedly knocked down handyman Rudolph Russell Arnold, was charged with manslaughter by negligence when he appeared today before Magistrate Khadeem Palmer. Valencio was also charged with causing death by careless conduct and drove motor vehicle without due care and attention. 

Arnold was riding his bicycle when he was knocked down at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Caesar Ridge Road by a gas truck driven by Valencio this past Monday. According to some eyewitnesses, Arnold fell off his bicycle before the wheels of the truck crushed his skull.

No plea was taken because the offenses are indictable. Valencio was offered bail of $6,000 with two sureties of $3,000 each. His only condition was that he must report to Orange Walk Police Station every Friday. His case was adjourned until January 15, 2020.
